About Me

Hi, my name is Fern!
I started my HR journey in 2009 when I completed my Law degree at Swansea University. After graduating I explored my career options and found my way into HR.
In 2014 I studied my Level 3 CIPD at Petroc college in Tiverton, followed by my Level 5 CIPD at South Devon College and finally my Masters Degree in Human Resource Management at the University of Exeter.
In 2023 I qualified through the ILM in Coaching and Mentoring, focusing on career coaching during my studies, and since, supporting many individuals who were facing their own individuals work challenges.
I have worked for a variety of organisations based across Devon, both in a stand alone HR Manager role and also part of a larger HR team.
Throughout my career I have been faced with many challenging people situations, but have also been involved and led on fantastic people initiatives that have shown that through implementing people focused HR support, they have a direct positive impact on individuals, business performance and the organisations customers.
In 2025, I launched Dymond HR & Coaching with the aim of supporting individuals, businesses and employees through people focused HR and coaching solutions.

My aim
My aim is to provide effective and pragmatic HR advice and guidance, supporting business owners, organisations, and their employees.
My values
As a HR professional, and coach I strive to operate, interact and deliver my services that are aligned with my values:

Integrity
I am honest in what I say, and I do what I say I am going to do. If there are things I am unable to do, I will tell you.

Achievement
I strive to provide the best HR and Coaching services. Partnering with motivated and ambitious organisations and individuals who strive to develop and grow to become the best versions of themselves.

Caring
I care about people and care about doing the right thing, not just doing things right.
